The sign-up for courses is “fluent”, which means you can sign-up any time. The courses are organized when enough participants have signed up and the participants are contacted via e-mail so that a suitable date for the course can be arranged among the participants.

Beginners’ course
The beginners’ course duration is approximately 5 hours, which includes a brief intro to climbing in general and practical training. You’ll learn how to tie in figure 8 climbing knot, ATC belaying and other necessary skills for independent indoor climbing. The amount of people participating in one course session is kept under 10 people.
The course price is 20 € members of Tekiila or people who met the criteria for Tekiila’s membership (students in Tampere Universities). The price 50 € is for supporting members and others. The price for the beginners course includes the membership fee of Tekiila for those who meet the criteria for the membership or supporting membership.
All necessary equipment for the course is loaned by Tekiila for free.

Lead course
Lead climbing course is for those who have enough experience with top-rope climbing and belaying.

Other courses
An outdoors rock climbing course is usually arranged in the beginning of summer and is comprised of a small theory part held at Tamppi Areena and of practical training that takes place during weekends on some of the nearby crags. Some amount of climbing experience is recommended.
