At Hervanta campus, Tekiila has two climbing facilities in it’s use. At Tamppi Areena’s lobby, there’s a top rope climbing wall and in Rakennustalo’s bomb shelter Bommari is a bouldering wall.
At Tamppi Areena can climb independently anyone who has payed SportUni’s fee. The wall has five top rope lines and three lead-climbing lines. Next to the climbing wall are located e.g., Tekiila’s equipment locker, from which members can borrow climbing equipment and also two fingerboards and one campus board.
Bommari’s bouldering wall has routes for climbers of all skill levels and the wall can be inclined with an adjustment handle. It is recommended that when first time coming to Bommari, one should attend the Wednesday climbing session or ask advice from someone who has used the wall before. This is so that the proper way to incline the wall is learned safely and accidents can be avoided.
